Runners from 23 states will arrive in Mackinaw City for the 2nd Annual Waugoshance Trail Marathon and Half Marathon on July 13. The event also features a 5K and Kid’s 2K on Friday evening, July 12. Packet pick up will take place at the Mackinaw City School on Central Avenue. The 5K and Kid’s 2K will take place at Wilderness State Park. Both races start and finish at the Amphitheater near the Goose Pond. The Kid’s 2K starts at 5:00 p.m. and the 5K starts at 5:30 p.m. The Half Marathon starts at Wilderness State Park (Goose Pond Trailhead) at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. The full Marathon starts at Wycamp Lake Rd, just north of Cross Village, at 7:00 a.m. Runners will be bussed to the start from the Mackinaw City School (Marathoners leave at 5:30 a.m. and Half Marathoners leave at 7:00 a.m.). The marathon and half marathon will both finish at the Mackinaw City School.
