Maps for the the 20K(link) and 5K(link) courses are now available for the Conserve School Trail Run to be held on June 14 in Land O'Lakes, WI.conserve526 1

A preview slide show(link) is also available.
Thanks go to Phil DeLong and Stefan Anderson of the Conserve School for course design. The trails include a eclectic mix of ski trail and single track.
Most of the single track has been designed and built by Michael Salat and his students at the Conserve School. The 20K takes runners past seven lakes and conserve526 2through a wide variety of ecosystems including dense hemlock forests, mature maple hardwoods and lush bogs.
Having run both courses I can say that these courses are some of the most fun to run of any of the Great Lakes Endurance events. The single track flows well. There are some technical sections, but most is easily tunable. The ski trail sections have a smooth grass or dirt surface that allow for fast running. The terrain is inspiring. Full course descriptions(link) are also now available. Online registration remains open.

There will be swimming available in Little Donahue Lake at the finish line as well as showers in the Lowenwood Recreation Center (bring your own towel).
