John P. Wilson Designs Navarino Medallions PDF Print E-mail

Working out of his garage studio in Cloverleaf Lakes, Wisconsin, craftsman John P.
Wilson has be working on the medallions (see photos) for Navarino Eco-Marathon (April
17, 2010). Using sugar maple harvested from Michiganʼs western Upper Peninsula,
Wilson used a CO2 laser to cut the medallions out of 3/16” thick stock and then engrave
the surface with the Navarino logo and event name. The neck loops are currently being
crafted from a blend of spun wool & alpaca fibers by Lennea Bressette of Marquette,
Michigan. All finishers of the Navarino Eco-Marathon will receive the one of a kind
hand crafted medallion.
